iGait: Objective gait assessment for hip and knee arthroplasty - iGait

For a new study at the orthopaedic department of the Sint Maartenskliniek, we are looking for an enthusiastic student human movement sciences to set up data collection, collect, analyze and report data from wearable sensors to evaluate gait in patients before and after hip or knee replacement surgery. This is a prospective cohort study, comparing pre- to post-operative changes in gait of THA and TKA patients, and compare them with age-matched healthy controls. The study will take place at the Sint Maartenskliniek in Nijmegen and Boxmeer. This research internship best suits a Master student Human Movement Sciences. Start and duration of the internship can be coordinated with the supervisor. For more information you can contact Dr. Katrijn Smulders, k.smulders@maartenskliniek.nl
